Cosmetic globes replace Red Neck and other 100-200-+300 watt mogul base light bulbs used in torchere lamps at the head and foot of the casket during viewing to produce cosmetic light on the deceased.
The cosmetic globe of the color preferred by the funeral director is attached, with the fitter provided, to the mogul base socket of the torchere lamp. The old Red Neck bulb is replaced with a far less expensive WHITE 100-200-300 watt light bulb. The combination of white light and the colored cosmetic globe , will provide a superior cosmetic lighting effect on the casket and subject and the white light bulbs are much less expensive that colored bulbs. The globe is not replaced . Only the white light bulb require replacement when they burn out. Red Neck light bulbs presently sell for $15.00 to $???? each. White 100-200-300 watt mogul base light bulbs are available locally for $4.00.
COSMETIC GLOBES ARE MADE OF MUCH THICKER GLASS THAN LIGHT BULBS AND TRANSMIT MUCH MORE COLOR SATURATED LIGHT TO THE SUBJECT.
COLORS; RED, COBALT BLUE, ROSE, PINK & LT. BLUE
RED #2 [ An exact color match of the red neck bulb. Is made of red glass ,not painted, and will not flake or fade. Due to the thickness of the red glass, globe emanates many times more red color to the subject ]
